What is the Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education?

The Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education (CORE) is a subsidiary of Pivot Learning.

CORE focuses on improving outcomes for students through implementation of evidence-based practices and effective curriculum so that all students receive the support and the high-quality, equitable instruction they need to achieve.

CORE works with school leaders and teachers to design and implement a customized professional learning plan grounded in the science of reading and best practices in math that includes a combination of workshops, job-embedded professional learning, curriculum implementation, and support so that evidence-based instruction takes root and leads to lasting change.

Since its inception 1995, CORE has provided rigorous professional learning services to more than 150,000 educators. We are the authors of the nationally recognized textbooks used in universities and school systems, Teaching Reading Sourcebook in a new 3rd edition and Assessing Reading: Multiple Measures, newly revised, and developers of the highly effective Spend Some Time with 1 to 9 supplemental math program.
