Working with expert partners and researchers, we highlight excellent work underway in our schools and explore opportunities to improve student outcomes in pursuit of education justice. Our policy and research efforts are rooted in the work we do to support educators.
In partnership with organizations like Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), we engage with expert researchers to learn more about what schools, districts, states, and the nation is doing to support students most vulnerable to educational system failings.
Pivot Learning and EdReports have partnered to offer instructional materials adoption support in California, through our CalCurriculum website and partnership with districts. CalCurriculum’s goal is to help districts adopt and implement quality instructional materials.

The “Big Squeeze” finds that California’s unfunded pension costs are exacerbating inequity in public schools by forcing school districts to decrease services to the neediest students – those who are low-income, English learners, or otherwise marginalized. To cover growing unfunded pension costs, school districts are making harmful cuts and compromises. The report not only sounds the alarm about the equity crisis facing California public schools; it offers solutions for school districts and state policymakers.
